Dennis “Denny” Costin

Dennis "Denny" J. Costin passed away peacefully with his loving family on September 7, 2025. Born August 15, 1956 to Diane and John Costin in Garrett, Indiana. He enjoyed taking many trips with his wife, Laurie and several family vacations. He enjoyed playing card games and sitting outside at his picnic table listening to his beloved Chicago Cubs. He loved spending time with his family and he loved pulling pranks on them. He loved gardening and planting trees throughout his beautiful yard. He was a dedicated Indianapolis Colts fan, watching them every Sunday during the season while snacking on his favorite nuts he purchased from Nuts.com. He was preceded in death by his father, John Costin, his mother, Diane Costin and his sister, Patricia Esselburn. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Laurie Costin, son Mike Costin of Fayette, Ohio, son Craig Costin of Wauseon, Ohio and daughter Heather Couts (Tony) of Wauseon, Ohio. Also 5 grandchildren, Garrett and Brink Costin, and Jordan, Joshua and Jayden Couts. Brother Tom Costin of Denton, Texas, sister Cathy Gibson (Dave) Cleveland, Tennessee, brother Tim Costin (Chris) of Garrett, Indiana, sister Nancy (Bill) Browand, brother Pete Costin (Lisa) of Churubusco, Indiana He always said, "Everything will be okay." A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 300 West Houston Street, Garrett with calling from 10:30 a.m. until the start of Mass at 11 a.m. Following Mass, there will be a Memorial Gathering at the American Legion Post 178 from Noon until 3 p.m. You are asked to please wear your Hawaiian party shirt to the Legion.
