Donna Van Horn Obituary

Donna Kay (Thiele) Van Horn, 80, of New Haven, passed into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Kingston Care Center of Fort Wayne, surrounded by her family. Born in Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Luelle (Wiehe) Thiele. She was a lifelong resident of rural New Haven and was member of Central Ministries Church, Fort Wayne. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher who especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David; children, Carol Van Horn, Jeffrey (Dawn) Van Horn, and Anna (Tim) Smith all of New Haven; brother, Larry (Linda) Thiele in New Haven; grandchildren, Logan, Austin, Bailey, Jeremy, Jenna, Derrek, Tyler, Ashleigh, Jacob, and Cory; and two great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Carol; and brother, Michael Thiele. Funeral service is 11 am Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven with visitation from 9:30 am until service time. Burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Central Ministries Church, Fort Wayne or Parkview Hospice. For online condolences please visit www.harperfuneralhome.com
