Douglas Ripple Obituary

Douglas E. Ripple, 66, of Ft. Wayne, passed away Thursday morning, May 29, 2025, following an extended illness. Doug was born in Bluffton on Jan. 30, 1959, to Russell A. and Janet R. (Faus) Ripple, both parents preceded him in death. He was a 1977 graduate of Norwell High School. Doug completed a four- year pipe fitters' certification and worked for Ft. Wayne Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union # 166 for 34 years. He met Rose M. (Monhollen) on June 8, 2004, and they were married in Warsaw, IN on May 15, 2009, she survives in Ft. Wayne. Doug enjoyed traveling to Tennessee, shuffleboard, playing cards, spending time at the lakes, pontoon rides and watching old movies. Additional survivors include a son, Richard Roop of Waterloo, IN; a daughter, Leah (Ruben) Jiminez of Ft. Wayne; two grandchildren, Jazmin and Eathan Jiminez; and two brothers, Daniel R. and David A. Ripple, both of Ft. Wayne, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Edward Roop. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian with Pastor Clark Stoller officiating. Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Memorials can be made to the Donor's Choice.
