Gary Dafforn Obituary

Gary L. Dafforn, 71, of Kendallville, Indiana passed away Thursday, Sept. 4th, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Gary was a farmer and retired from API Construction in 2018. He enjoyed restoring furniture, gardening, spending time with his brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Kelley Lash, and just being outside in the fresh air. Gary especially loved his family and, with his wife Martha, were active in babysitting four of their Great-Granddaughters several days a week. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha of Kendallville. Two Sisters; Barb Staadt of New Haven and Sharon (Larry) Olinske of Huntertown, and his children; his son Chris and wife Laurie Dafforn of Kendallville and his daughter Jenn and husband Theo Koebler also of Kendallville. Also surviving; 4 grandchildren; Megan Rainey of Grand Rapids, Trevor Rainey of Grand Rapids, Mackenzye (Derek) Casselman of Kendallville, and Griffen (Katharine) Dafforn-Koebler of Albion, IN and 5 Great Grandchildren; Morgan Grace, Hazell Grayce, Lenora Jane, Charolette Opal, and Ember Rose. Gary had a large extended family that included numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, bonus children; Jamie, Chris, and Evan Wilson, Charlie, Sarah, Teigan, and Cora Cochran, and Butch, Nicole, Shelby, and Alex Henschen. Per his wishes, no memorial services will be held. Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangments.
