Joni M. Jones

Joni Jones, age 60, of Wolf Lake, IN, passed away at 3:46 pm on Thursday July 31, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on February 20, 1965, in Columbia City, IN, she was the daughter of Clifton and Evelyn (Breisch) Geiger. Joni attended Central Noble High School and graduated with the Class of 1983. On August 12, 2006, she married Mark Jones, Jr. in Avilla. She worked in several local factories during her working career including Tower Automotive, Bosch, Alcoil, and Reelcraft. She was most recently a cashier at Kroger, Columbia City. Over the years, Joni also helped her mother Evelyn in her caregiving to others. Joni enjoyed spending time with family, collecting seal figurines, and white roses. Survivors include her husband Mark Jones, Jr. of Wolf Lake; son Justin Tipton of Wolf Lake; brother Ed Geiger of Albion; sisters-in-law Crystal (Jeff) McCollister of Fort Wayne and Tina Merriman of Kendallville. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and sister Laura L. Ross.
