Joseph Sowder Obituary

Joseph Kent "Joe" Sowder, 59, of Fort Wayne passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was born April 13, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Joseph M. and Alice (Bernard) Sowder. He graduated from Concordia High School and Grace College. He enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball, baseball and basketball. Joe enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his children, Brandon Sowder and Erica (Brian) Monn; grandchildren, James, Sophia and Owen; his parents, Joseph M. and Alice Sowder; a brother Rodney (Patti) Souder; nieces Ava and Olivia. Joe was our neighbor - we lived across the street from him for over 3 years.
I was so sad to hear of his passing...although Joe kept to himself, I´d run into him at Kroger & he was always so nice. Prayers for his family as they navigate this difficult time.
