Born August 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Pearl (Dunn) White. Joyce graduated from Central High School, class of 1952. She worked at International Harvester and was the owner of the Sedan Motel in Waterloo, IN. Family always came first for Joyce, as she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Joyce enjoyed quilting and often poured her heart into making quilts for others including cancer patients. She was a member of the Noble Nimble Thimble Quilt Club, The Quilt Guild, and sewing clubs. She enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking for her family, and line dancing as well. For many summers, Joyce and her husband Don would spend their time in Michigan enjoying the great outdoors and the beautiful waterfalls. For over 65 years, Joyce was a member of the Night Owls Card Club where she enjoyed playing Euchre, spending quality time, and laughing the night away with her many friends from high school.
Faith was important to Joyce, and she was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Joyce spent many years of her life serving in the community and volunteering her love and time to help others. Joyce found comfort and joy in music and loved to sing with her family as the sound of Elvis, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Tom Jones filled the home.
Joyce always made everyone feel like family including welcoming all the neighborhood kids to our home and all the loved ones and children that joined our family overtime.
