Kevin J. Cochran

Kevin J. Cochran, 68, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 8, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne. Kevin, the son of the late James H. and Janet R. (Zeser) Cochran, was born on May 25, 1957, in Decatur, IN. On August 2, 1980, he married Rebecca S. Sheets. Kevin was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and attended St. Mark's Church Decatur. He worked for Central Soya, now Bunge as an oil processor, from 1976 to his retirement in September, 2022. Kevin was a member of the Moose 1311, Eagles 2653 and Knights of Columbus 864. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rebecca S. Cochran of Decatur; 2 sons, Matthew (Nicole) Cochran of Decatur and Douglas (Michelle) Cochran of Monroe; a daughter, Crystal Cochran of Decatur; 4 brothers, James (Rebecca) Cochran, Kim (Teresa) Cochran, Kent Cochran all of Decatur and Jeff Cochran of Hawaii; 2 sisters, Brenda (John) Schultz and Debbie (Jeffrey) Hackman both of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Becca, Lincoln, Oakley and Colt Cochran. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 13, 2025 from Noon – 4:00 p.m. at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will also be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 with Pastor David Reed officiating. There will be calling 1 hour prior to services from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Adams County Cancer Coalition and Mooseheart.
