Linda Hoch Obituary

Linda Hoch, age 77, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the home she shared with her husband in Roanoke, IN. She was welcomed into God's presence with grace and dignity, surrounded by family. Linda began her earthly journey on January 15, 1948, in Roanoke, Indiana. Her arrival brought great joy to her parents, Joe and Joan Crow. Linda's sisters, Patti, Karen and Debbie completed the set of four fabulous "Crow Girls" with Linda as the fearless big sister and leader. Linda was a proud graduate of the last class of Roanoke High School in 1966, and on June 20, 1986, she married Joe Hoch. Linda's children, Kelli Ebersole Dennis and Cory Ebersole, benefited from her exceptional ability to love well. This sacrificial love was only surpassed by the birth of her 3 amazing grandchildren who called her Grammo; Marcus Ray Ebersole, Addison Johanna Dennis, and Aden Marc Dennis. She was a constant presence in their lives, investing her time and talents in each of them. Her beautiful holiday celebrations, along with her famous goulash, garlic bread, and Oreo dessert, were just some of the ways she expressed love for her family. For 25 years, Linda dedicated herself to daycare, caring for over 200 children, many of whom she stayed in touch with long after their time in her home. While her eternity is secure and known, she is deeply missed by those who love her. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold "Joe" and Joan (Myers) Crow Wisel. Her legacy will be carried on by her husband, Joe Hoch; sisters Patti (Rick) Fritz, Karen (Mike) Switzer, and Debbie Sutton; her cherished daughter, Kelli (Jason) Dennis; beloved son, Cory (Ann) Ebersole; Joe's son, Les (Sonya) Hoch; her grandchildren, Marcus Ebersole, Addison (Aidan Raab) Dennis, Aden (Anna Smith) Dennis, Alex Hoch, Dalton Hoch, Jessica (Nick) Goodnight, Drew (Lindsey) Welch; and her great-grandchildren, Lincoln Ebersole, Walker Goodnight, Eliana Goodnight, Kendall Welch, Kynleigh Welch, Kamden Welch along with 3 nephews and 3 nieces. Each will remember how her love, laughter, and light filled their lives with immeasurable goodness. To honor the wishes of Linda, a private family interment will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, IN. McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, is in charge of arrangements.
