Please scroll down for Luis' obituary in Spanish.... Luis Donis, 23, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday June 29, 2025. Luis was born in Fort Wayne on October 9, 2001, the son of Vidal Donis and Dora Monterroso, who survive along with his sisters, Adamaris Donis, Doris Donis, Sabrina Donis and Kimberly Donis; brothers, Dylan Donis and Junior Donis, all of Fort Wayne; grandparents, Jesus Orantes and Enrique Monterroso in Guatemala, and James "Abuelito Jim" Parrot of Fort Wayne. Luis graduated from Bishop Luers High School with the Class of '21; he continued his education at community colleges and was employed as an electrician. He attended Mass at St Joseph Catholic Church and was unwavering in his Catholic faith, having a special devotion to St. Padre Pio. Luis was humble & hardworking and always had a smile for those he encountered. He enjoyed a close connection with his brothers; he also liked riding his motorcycle and playing soccer, always #7, and always willing to assist the younger players as they honed their soccer skills. Luis enjoyed cooking, especially hosting his family for holiday gatherings & meals and also enjoyed caring for his pet dog, "Luna", but his greatest joy in life was the time he spent with family & friends, and he had a special bond with his mother. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday July 11, 2025, in St Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Ave. with visitation from 10-11am in the church. Visitation is also on Thursday from 4-8pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Luis nacio en Fort Wayne el 9 de octubre de 2001, hijo de Vidal Donis y Dora Monterroso, que sobreviven junto con su hermana Adamaris Donis, Doris Donis, Sabrina Donis y Kimberly Donis; Hermano, Dylan Donis y Junior Donis, todos de Fort Wayne; abuelos, Jesus Orantes y Enrique Monterroso en Guatemala, y James "Abuelito Jim" Parrot de Fort Wayne. Luis se graduo de la Escuela Secundaria Bishop Luers con la clases de '21; continuo su educacion en colegios comunitarios y fue empleado como electricista. Asistio a misa en la Iglesia catolica de San Jose, y era inquebrantable en su fe, teniendo una devocion especial a San Padre Pio. Luis era humilde y trabajador y siempre tenia una sonrisa para aquellos con los que se encontraba. Luis disfrutaba de una estrecha conexion con sus hermanos; Tambien le gustaba conducer su motocicleta y jugar al futbol, siempre #7, y siempre dispuesto a ayudar a los jugadores mas Jovenes a medida que mejoraban su juego. Le gustaba cocinar, especialmente recibir a su familia para reunions y comidas navidenas y Tambien disfrutaba cuidando de su mayor alegria en la vida era el tiempo que pasaba con su familia y amigos, y tenia un vinculo especial con su madre. La misa funebre se celebara a las 11:00a.m. del Viernes 11 de julio de 2025, en la Iglesia catolica de San Jose, 2213 Brooklyn Ave. con visita de 10 a 11 a.m. en la Iglesia.
