Marilyn V. Drew

Marilyn V. Drew, 90, of North Manchester, Indiana and formerly of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Peabody Memorial Retirement Home where she had been a resident for the past nine years. Born January 31, 1935, in Decatur, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Frances (Borne) Jaberg. She graduated from Decatur High School with the Class of 1953 and also attended IUPU in Fort Wayne. On June 29, 1957, she married Thomas L. Drew and they made their home in Columbia City. Marilyn was primarily a homemaker taking care of her family with love. She was a past member of Columbia City United Methodist Church, Flock Sunday School class and The Coterie. Marilyn loved to bake and be out around the pond. She also loved to travel and spend time with her family. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Brent (Tami) Drew and Scott (Elaine) Drew both of Columbia City; daughter, Cynthia (Dan) Frye of Logansport; grandchildren, Gia, Dane, Leah Drew all of Columbia City and Molly (Landon) Grogg of Fort Wayne, Katie Clements of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dustin Drew (Cati) Clements of Nashville, Tennessee, and Clayton (KyLeigh) Frye and Krista (Kyle) Graves both of Logansport; great-grandchildren, Coban and Kade Parker of Columbia City, Emmett Frye, and David Graves both of Logansport, Elodie Drew Grogg of Fort Wayne; sister, Donna Roth of Decatur, Indiana. Along with her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Drew; and an infant brother. Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, May 16, 2025, with calling one hour prior also at the funeral home.
