Randall Lawson Obituary

Randall E. "Randy" Lawson, age 66, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 3:00 pm on Wednesday October 15, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born on May 26, 1959, in Farmington, MO, he was the son of Lester Sr. and Vinnie (Graham) Lawson. Randy attended Central R-VII High School, Flat River, MO, and graduated with the Class of 1977. He worked for General Motors in Missouri before coming to Fort Wayne in 1987, for 30 years, until his retirement in 2013. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, watching old westerns or sports in his free time, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his son Robert M. Lawson of Noblesville; siblings Pat Lawson, Lester Jr. (Connie) Lawson, and Angie (Michael Davis) Rawl, all of Park Hills, MO; sister-in-law Debbie Lawson of Festus, MO; several additional in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Susan Kaye Lawson, and brother Steve Lawson. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday October 24, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 pm at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
