Sandra Melton Obituary

Sandra S. Melton, 72, of rural Bluffton, passed away Monday morning, June 2, 2025, at her residence. Sandra was born in Bluffton, on January 11, 1953, to Wayne and Naomi (Woodward) Henly Sr. She married Max A. Melton, he preceded her in death on March 24, 2009. A 1971 graduate of Norwell High School, Sandra later worked for Peyton's Northern Distribution Center for over 30 years. She later worked part-time at the Liberty Center gas station and enjoyed volunteering at the Bargain Hut in Bluffton. Sandra had a love for sewing and would even make clothing for her children. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Jodi (Michael) Donahoe of Liberty Center and Faun Melton of Lexington, NC; a son, Chris (Lisa) Melton of Lexington, NC; a brother, Wayne (Glennis) Henly Jr. of Ossian; nine grandchildren, Blake (Trisha) Banter, Hunter Oswalt, Kolten Oswalt, Chloe Donahoe, Hayley (Josh) Durham, Mia Melton, Camryn Melton, Max Melton, and Richard Powell; six great grandchildren; Brayden, Kinslee, Waylon, Daisy, Emberlynn, and Oliver; along with two nephews and a niece. The receiving of family and friends will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM at Sandra's residence, 1416 W. 500 S. Bluffton, IN, 46714 Memorial donations in memory of Sandra may be made to the Bargain Hut in Bluffton.
