Sharon Mardin Obituary

Sharon Lee (Heffner) Mardin, age 82, entered this life on September 30, 1942, in Piqua, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Virginia Rose (Thomas) Heffner. She was raised in Brandt, Ohio and was a 1960 graduate of the Bethel High School in Tipp City, Ohio. She later graduated from cosmetology school in Dayton, Ohio. Sharon was united in marriage on July 8, 1989, to William Louis "Bill" Mardin in Fort Wayne, Indiana and they shared over 36 years of marriage together until his death on January 10, 2023. Sharon was a hairdresser for several years, retiring from JC Penny Salon in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Sharon was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She enjoyed crafting, especially creating bracelets she used in her ministering. She also loved thrifting and antiquing, and for several years she brought joy to others by dressing as a clown at nursing homes and hospitals, performing under the name 'Sharabelle.' After the passing of her husband, Sharon moved closer to be near her daughter, Amber, and together they cherished spending time together while taking scenic drives and going thrifting. Sharon passed away at 9:13 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Amber Thacker and her husband, Bob of Sparta, KY; her son, John D. Roberts, Jr. and his wife, Lori of Circleville, OH; her grandchildren, Tyler (Jessica), Mary, Lily, Samantha, Caileigh, Josh, and Cheyenne; her 3-great-grandchildren; her brother, Del Heffner and his wife, Carla of East Dubuque, IA; and her nieces and nephews.
