Vicky Denton Obituary

Vicky D. Denton, 82, of Huntington, IN, passed away at 10:10am on September 11, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Denton was born on January 6, 1943, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Robert and Florence (Platt) Ehresman. Her parents preceded her in death. Vicky married David Denton on June 10, 1961, just after graduating from Payne, OH. He survives and resides in Huntington, IN. Vicky retired as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) from Heritage Pointe Nursing Home, Warren, IN, after more than 20 years of faithful service, having also previously worked at Millers Merry Manor. Vicky was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Tammy Allred; however, along with her husband David she is survived by two grandchildren, Gary Lee Allred and Jeremy Ryan Allred; four great grandchildren: Elizabeth Sandlin, Eric Allred, Raven Allred, and Trentin Dennis. Surviving sisters are: Cheri (Al) Bute, Paulding, OH, Terrie Ehresman, Payne, OH, Jodi Ehresman, Sherwood, OH, and one brother, Tony (Cathy) Ehresman, Warsaw, IN. Vicky and David truly enjoyed their work with Joy Pleasers Clown Ministry for many years, treating the public to their "LizzyBeth" and "Milo" characters. The family has requested no calling hours or funeral service. Memorial contributions can be made to either Joy Pleasers Clown Ministry or Helping Paws Pet Haven in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral home 715 N. Jefferson St. Huntington, IN 46750.
