William Joy Obituary

William Allen Joy, 61, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Fort Wayne on July 20, 1963, to William and Margie (Dorsett) Joy. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1981 Following high school, William enlisted in the United States Army and was a Combat Veteran with the 82nd Airborne Rangers. He worked for Filter Services in Fort Wayne. William was married to Karen S. Penrod on August 9, 1996, in Fort Wayne. He loved the woods, camping, and gaming on the computer. He was loved and respected by his family and friends. William is survived by his wife and parents; two daughters, Megan (Blake) Boice and Diana Keil; two sons, Christopher Joy and Chad Kennedy; a brother, Derryl Joy; a sister, Melissa (Jeff) Dammeyer; ten grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, William John Joy. There are no services scheduled.

William was a good friend and co-worker. It's sad to hear of his passing. I pray that he finds peace in the next the life and is reunited with those he loved and lost in this world.
