William Penick Obituary

William "Wild Bill" Penick, 75, of Angola, Indiana died Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Faucett Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida. He was born February 6, 1950, in Angola, Indiana to Allie and Marilyn (Powers) Penick. In 1982, in Tennessee, he married Lorene Conley. Mr. Penick retired as a rural mail carrier at the Angola Post Office. He was an active member of the Pleasant Lake Lions Club and the Angola American Legion Post 31 Sons of the Legion. He enjoyed living in Florida in the winter months. Surviving are his wife, Lorene Penick of Angola; a daughter, Carla (Ramey) Dzenowagis of Fayeteville, Georgia; two sisters, Karen (Kim Deems) Clark of Angola and Mary (Dennis) Ramsey of Pleasant Lake; and two brothers, Jim (Diane) Penick of Angola and John (Kim) Penick of Durango, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents. Celebration of life services will be Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Angola American Legion, 1760 West Maumee Street, Angola, Indiana. Preferred memorials are to the Pleasant Lake Lion Club. Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson/Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
