Aashish Manhar Mehta

Aashish Manhar Mehta, 51, of Allentown, Pa, passed away peacefully in presence of family at home on March 15, 2025. He was born on June 24, 1973, in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from Parkland High School and attended Penn State University, which fueled his lifelong enthusiasm as a Nittany Lion fan. Aashish worked as a recruiting consultant, a career that reflected his natural ability to connect with people. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His infectious laugh and light-hearted approach to life endeared him to many, leaving behind a legacy of friendships. He considered friends like brothers. Aashish was always about helping others whether it was through the Red Cross, by feeding people at various soup kitchens and other organizations. He loved playing tennis and volleyball and taught both sports to kids and adults for many years. He was also a proud Brother of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. Aashish loved animals especially elephants, lions, tigers and dogs, just never had one of his own. He is survived by his parents, Manhar "Mike" and Rashmi Mehta, his brother and sister-in-law, Drs. Amish and Amy Mehta of Pittsburgh; and his niece and nephew, Meredith and Charles, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, both in the United States and India. Viewing and funeral services will be held at Bachman Kulik and Reinsmith Funeral Home, 1629 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18102 on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10:00 am.
