Albert Serfass Obituary

Albert A. "Chubs" Serfass, 75, of Palmerton, PA, passed away Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at his residence in Palmerton, PA, surrounded by family. Born February 26, 1950, in Palmerton, PA, he was the son of the late Jacob Serfass Sr., and the late Sallie (Bollinger) Serfass. Albert was the husband of Donna (Horn) Serfass, with whom he shared two sons. After graduating from Palmerton High School, class of 1968, he joined the Marine Corps. During his time in the service he was deployed to Vietnam, and earned the rank of L.Cpl.1. Albert, then returned home to work for Glen Hahn, Frantz Bros. Inc., Bruce George Inc., and Alan Meyers, all as a heavy equipment operator. After retiring, Albert worked for Pocono White Water Rafting. He was an avid hunter, owner/operator of the Summer Mountain Hunting Preserve, and in his younger years, and accomplished trap shooter, qualifying for the National Competition. Survivors: Surviving along with his wife are sons, Brandon Serfass and wife Jennie and Stephen Serfass, both of Palmerton, PA. Grandchildren Wade, Harper, and Evelyn Serfass, of Palmerton, PA. Brother, Walter Serfass of Bowmanstown, PA. Sisters, Ruth Hausman and husband Carl of Walnutport, PA, and Betty Trexler of Allentown, PA. He was predeceased by brother Jacob Serfass Jr, sisters, Pauline Serfass, Delores Serfass, Wilma Mohr, and Emma Fink. A Funeral Service will be at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Ave. Palmerton, PA 18071. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 PM up until the time of service. Interment will be held privately. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
