Andrew Garofano Obituary
We lost our dear friend Andrew "Andy" T. Garofano of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania suddenly on Friday August 22, 2025, of natural causes at the age of 40. He was an extraordinary person who left us too soon. He was the loving husband of Samantha M. (Speziale) Garofano with whom he had celebrated 16 years of marriage. Born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, he was the son of Guy A. and Linda (McLean) Garofano of Stroudsburg, PA.
Andy was residing in the Stroudsburg area for the past 37 years. He was employed at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono as a RN and CRNP over the last 15 years. He was a highly regarded professional who took extreme pride in the care of his patients and made himself available to help anyone, anytime.
Our hearts are heavy with grief as Andy was a true warrior in life; resilient, strong and full of courage, yet he carried the kindest heart. He never missed a chance to care for others, always showing up with love, generosity and compassion. He was an incredible husband and a devoted father, whose greatest joy was his family. To those who knew him, Andy was more than a friend, he was a brother, a steady presence and someone who left every person better than he found them. As we mourn his loss, we come together to surround his family with the same love and care Andy so freely gave to provide comfort in this time of unimaginable loss.
In addition to his wife Samantha and his parents, Guy and Linda, he is survived by a son: Remy Garofano, brother, Daniel J. Garofano and his wife, Lauren, of Mountainhome, PA; maternal grandfather: Andrew McLean of Reeders, PA; paternal grandfather Harold Garofano of Lakewood, NJ; sister in law Pamela Field and her husband, Shannon; three nieces and a nephew: Emily and Anna Field and Silas and Abigail Garofano.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 30, 2025, at 10:00am. The service will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Cherry Lane Rd., Tannersville, PA with Rev. Michael M. Bryant as the celebrant. There will be a memorial visitation on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 4-7:00 pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th St. Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
Memorial donations can be made to the funeral home in care of Remy, Andrew's son for a scholarship fund.
