Anita Hagen Obituary
New Hope, PA – Anita M. Hagen, 84, of New Hope, PA, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, at Abington Memorial Hospital. Born in Dobbs Ferry, NY, she was raised in Minersville, PA, and in the Juniata section of Philadelphia.
Anita graduated from Little Flower High school in Philadelphia, Pa in 1958. She married Raymond F. Hagen in 1961 and was married for over 50 years. Together they lived in various states and had countless adventours together.
Anita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She is survived by her children, Raymond F. Hagen (Jeannine), Anita M. Verhaert (Jef), and Karen Conley (Kenneth), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Thomas, Amelia, and Seppe. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother, Emmanuel Ierovante and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F. Hagen Sr., and her brothers, Frank Ierovante and Joseph Ierovante.
Anita found joy in spending time with her family, particularly in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. A dedicated homemaker, she loved to cook, entertain, and create lasting memories with her loved ones. She was an active member of several quilt guilds, most recently Courthouse Quilters of Flemington, NJ., and she enjoyed crafting, especially counted cross-stitch. Anita also had a passion for playing bridge and card games, often sharing her love for these activities with friends and family.
Anita's family was at the heart of everything she did, and her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her warm spirit and generous nature will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Family and friends are invited to Anita's life celebration on Saturday, February 15th from 10am-11am, at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, Pa. Her funeral mass will follow at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Little Flower Catholic High School in Anita's memory.
