Ann Darby Obituary

Ann D. Darby, 83, of Hellertown, formerly of Palmer Township, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. Born October 8, 1941, in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Raginski) Belchunes. Her husband of nearly 44 years, Robert J. Darby, passed away August 12, 2005. Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Palmer Moravian Church. Ann and her husband were members of the Easton Corvette Club. Surviving is a son, Job Robert Darby, of Hellertown; a daughter, Dorothy Malson and her husband Carlos, of Easton; a son-in-law, James Rak, of Bethlehem; two sisters, Irene Bykowski, of Bethlehem and Rita Husky, of Wilkes Barre; six grandchildren, Candice, Kristin, Terri Anne and her husband Curtis, Dillon, Vanessa and Robert; and four great-grandchildren, Lea, Mariah, Brinley and Paisley. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Williams, a brother, Joseph Belchunes, and a sister, Mary Bower. A memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday, July 31st in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Thursday 10-11am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.

Dear. Nanny you are the most wonderful and fantastic Grandmother I have in my life you always had my back and you comforted me any time I sick you always made time to spend time with Me Robert Mom and Dad yes we had fights but that's family we all had our disagreements I really enjoyed you taking me shopping having cups of coffee together you bring me to work when I was called in I am very thankful for everything you did for me and yes I got upset when you would always ask me if I was sick or if it was my shunt your the one person that was very loving and caring and wanted everyone to get along I love you so so so much I'm hurting from this but I l know we will meet again you did the climb you crossed the rainbow bridge I promised you I was going to be there when you left until we meet again I love you Nanny.
