Anna Buschmeier Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce Anna (Liberto) Buschmeier, age 82, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Jim Buschmeier II and loving mother of Jim Buschmeier III (Sandra) and Nicole Putnam (Rob), and adoring grandmother to Taylor, Lindsay, and Cole Putnam, and Eva and Sam Buschmeier. She is also survived by one sister, Joan Skidmore. She was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Liberto and her sister Marie Costanza.
Anna was the daughter of John and Anna Liberto and grew up on Rosemary Avenue in Ambler, PA. After she met and married Jim, they started their family in Ambler and eventually settled in Hatfield, PA in 1975.
Voted the "Quietest Girl" in high school, Anna spent the rest of her life proving them wrong. She had the ability to talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything. She would befriend people while shopping, sharing what was going on in her life and pictures of the kids, and some of these friendships lasted a lifetime. There was never an uncomfortable silence when Anna was around; she always brought light to the room.
She loved everything that sparkled and lit up - all that was glitter and gold. Her nicknames were "Fancy" and "Hollywood." She adored shoes, scarves, jewelry, and hats - all accessories - and had quite the collection. Her shopping went from hitting every mall within an hour radius, to garage sales, to shopping online with QVC and HSN. At all hours, she would call her friends and family to ask them to check out what she was going to buy. She valued all things, no matter their shape, size, or price tag, and found beauty everywhere.
Anna was highly energetic and always on the move. She took great pride in her yard, and you could routinely find her outside the home throughout the year - mowing the lawn in the summer, cleaning up 20+ bags of leaves in the fall, shoveling in the winter, and planting flowers in the spring.
Anna loved providing for her family, especially shopping for the grandchildren. She was a kid at heart and always brought them toys and games to play with - pink Barbie Jeeps, see-saws, ball pits, train sets, and vanity tables - she bought them all. As her grandkids grew, she found just as much joy in spoiling them with housewares, jewelry, makeup, and anything she thought would make their lives easier so they could spend more time doing what they love most. Watching her grandchildren play basketball got her very into the NBA, and when she wasn't cheering them on, she loved watching her favorite three-point shooter, Steph Curry.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Visitation is from 9:30–10:30 A.M.. Private burial will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park for immediate family only.
Anna will be remembered for her sparkle, her boundless energy, and her generous heart. She lived life with joy and flair, always finding beauty in the world around her and delight in giving to others. Her legacy of love, laughter, and light will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
