Anna Lerch Obituary

Anna Mae Lerch, 87, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, following a long illness. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Idella (Schueck) Yost. She was employed for decades by both the Allentown School District as a cafeteria server, and by the North End Republican Club of Allentown in its heyday. Anna Mae enjoyed going to Atlantic City; talking about the Phillies with her son; watching The Godfather series, ID Channel, and Judge Judy; and the many cats, dogs and even racoons she cared for over the years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge. She will be remembered for her outspoken manner and bawdy humor. She is survived by her children: Son, Robert A. Lerch, husband of Louise, of Coopersburg; daughter, Tammy, wife of Peter Hauser, of Nazareth; sister, Darlene, of Allentown; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 nephews. Anna Mae was predeceased by her companion, John Hardner; companion, Peter DeCrosta; and ex-husband, Robert R. Lerch. Services will be private.
