Anna E. Schaffer

Anna E. (Schwartz) Schaffer, 88, formerly of Schnecksville, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at Phoebe Home – Allentown. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Schaffer. Born in Allentown, April 3, 1937, Anna was the daughter of the late Elwood A. and Frances A. (Deibert) Schwartz. She was a graduate of William Allen High School, class of 1955. Anna was employed as a customer service supervisor at Americold in Fogelsville for 25 years before retiring in 1999. Anna was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown where she sang with the choir, and attended Bible study classes. She played the violin in the Allentown Symphony Orchestra and was a former Phoebe Home volunteer. Survivors: Sons, Michael D. Schaffer (Joann) of Orefield, Timothy J. Schaffer (Susan) of Slatington; sister, Harriet J. Eastman (Dale) of Telford; grandchildren, Stephen, Nicholas, Benjamin, Andrew; great-grandchildren, Parker, Sophia, Holden, Caden, Weston, Slade, Nora. Service: A memorial service will be held 11:00 am. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Jordan U.C.C., 1837 Church Road, Allentown. The Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith will be officiating. Family and friends may pay their respect from 10:00 am. – 11:00 am. prior to the service in the church parlor. Interment will follow the service in the adjacent church cemetery.
