Anneliese Bird Obituary

Anneliese Bird, 87 of Scotrun, PA, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, PA. Born June 30, 1938, in Darmstadt, Germany she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steinkerchner. She was the wife of the late Elmer L. Bird, Sr. who passed away on March 31, 1992. Anneliese was in charge as the Park Ranger of the Scotrun R.V. Park, Scotrun, PA caring for all aspects of the park, including maintenance and cleaning for the past 15 years. She is survived by her daughters, Penny F. Costenbader of Walnutport, PA and Laurie Arndt of Treichlers, PA, son, Paul K. David of Reading, PA, 5 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday September 22, 2025, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067 with the Rev. Gary Walbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Indianland Cemetery Association, Cherryville, PA. So sorry to hear about the passing of Anneliese. Kathy and I were friends of hers for years at Scotrun Campground. Anneliese was a firecracker who took no disrespect from anyone. Anneliese is in our thoughts and prayers and will be truly missed at the campground. Rest in Peace, Anneliese. Love Joe and Kathy.
