Barbara A. Durante

It is with deep love and sorrow that we share the passing of Barbara A. Durante, 79, of Easton, who left this world peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 6, 2025. She is the beloved wife of 52 years to George Durante. Barbara was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frank and Helen (nee Grenfell) Casey. Barbara was a claims analyst for Guardian Life Insurance until her retirement. She was previously a member of her local Lutheran Church, Elks Club, and card clubs. Barbara cherished nothing more than spending time with those she loved. Whether it was a simple weekend dinner, a sunny day at the shore, or a family get together with laughter and memories, she found her greatest joy in the presence of her children, grandchildren, and extended family. The Jersey shore was the place she felt most at peace, toes in the sand and the sun on her face. She traveled often with her favorite destinations being Ireland, Europe, and Hawaii. She took many cruises with family and friends and reminisced on many occasions and the memories she held close to her heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. Her unwavering devotion to her family and the countless memories she helped create will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. She is fondly remembered by her husband, George; sons Robert (wife Shawn) Bariana and Bryan (wife Kelly) Durante; grandchildren Nicholas (wife Amanda) Bariana, Krystn (husband Jeramy) Hoffman, Liam Durante, and Gavin Durante; great grandchildren Brayden, Austin, Carlee, and Aubrey; brother William (wife Stephanie) Casey; sister-in-law Christine (late husband Michael Maccarrone) McCormick; loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Beside her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother Frank Jr. (late wife Margaret) Casey. Family and friends may call for a viewing on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Heintzelman Funeral Home located at 326 Main Street, Hellertown from 11am until 12pm. A Celebration of Barbara's Life will begin promptly at 12pm. A funeral repast will be held at the Carriage House at Heintzelmans, immediately following the services.
