Barry P. Himmelberger Sr.

1937 - 2024

Barry P. Himmelberger, Sr. 86 of Hyde Park, passed away December 13, 2024 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born December 20, 1937 in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late George and Fanny (Fox) Himmelberger. Barry attended Muhlenberg School and was employed by CarTech for many years until retiring. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, the Phillies and the Eagles. Surviving are his children: Lois Ann (Warner) Himmelberger of Reading, PA and Barry Himmelberger Jr. husband of Melissa (Dundore) Himmelberger of Reading. Grandchildren: John Putt, Steven Warnock, Joshua Kantner, Carla Kanter and Step Granddaughter Aleda Howard, along with 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his past wife's; Patricia P. (Boyer) Himmelberger and Patricia A. (Epler) Himmelberger; a daughter, Marie Susan Himmelberger, wife of the late Sharon Warnock and a grandson, Chris Warnock and siblings; George Himmelberger, Betty Himmelberger and Donald Himmelberger. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 27 at 11am Laureldale Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1015 Windsor St, Reading, PA 19604.
