Bruce C. Ebbert

Bruce Ebbert, 99, of Lehighton, PA, entered heaven on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Scenic View Personal Care in Palmerton, PA. Born Friday, July 30, 1926 in Weissport, PA, he was the son of the late Bertram Ebbert and the late Arvilla (Campbell) Ebbert. Bruce was the loving husband of Shirley (LaRose) Ebbert, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Bruce dedicated his entire working career of 40 years to the Lehighton Borough, primarily as a meter reader. Bruce's faith was very important to him, being a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. His last 20+ years were at St. John's Towamensing Lutheran Church, of Palmerton, PA. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, cooking, hunting and walking. He was a member of the Lehighton American Legion and Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club. Bruce was a former volunteer with the Lehighton Fire Co. and a former Master Mason with the F.& A.M. Lodge #621 of Lehighton, PA for many years, Survivors: Surviving along with his wife is a son, Michael Ebbert and wife Gwen of Palmerton, PA, 4 grandchildren, Becky Ebbert, Steph Hosier, Jon Ebbert, Katarina Ebbert and 2 great grandsons, Justin and Brayden Hosier. He was predeceased by son, Gary Ebbert, brothers, Lamont Ebbert, and Jack Ebbert, and sister, Faye Hahn. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday August 9, 2025, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church - Towamensing, 2915 Fireline Rd. Palmerton, PA, 18071 with the Rev. Kenneth T.
