Carol Pishock Obituary

Obituary of Carol Ann Pishock Carol Ann Pishock, age 78, of Audubon, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was born in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Alice (Hoy) Hylinski. Carol was a parishioner of Visitation BVM Church of Trooper and a former parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Conshohocken, where she was born and raised. Carol was the ultimate homemaker. She worked outside of the home for over two decades at the former Suburban General Hospital and also did medical dictation for a local doctor's office for many years. Somehow during all of this she raised five children, was a car-pool magician, and was present for each and every one of their many sports and activities. Carol was also a creator and artist. She was a talented seamstress who made dresses, handmade dolls, and even costumes for a local theater. She was a wizard at creating flower arrangements and even ran her own custom drapery business designing, sewing, and installing draperies for customers and family members alike. She was an amazing baker, making many signature cakes and creations over the years for countless family occasions; her rose-petal piping was truly perfect. Her grandchildren were the eventual lucky recipients of all of these talents, with beautiful dresses, custom nursery drapes, an entire eight-dress princess ensemble created for a Disney trip, and Halloween costumes for the grandkids (and often even the dog) being just part of the many custom creations Mammy made with love. Whether it was for a shower, birthday, or for every holiday in between, Carol always added her very special loving touch. Carol was born to be a Mom in every sense of the word. She loved babies and they loved her. She was truly a baby whisperer and was always willing to hold any baby for hours. All babies (and dogs) could sense her unconditional love. She especially loved and cherished each of her nine grandchildren; Mammy adored being a proud grandmother. She was there from the first moments they were each born, later babysitting and playing on the floor happily and always attending every special event even when it was difficult for her physically, right until the very end. She was a neighborhood mom to many, including her Flanagan nephews, and lovingly welcomed every friend her children brought home as if they were her own. Carol was an avid reader and brave traveler. She traveled as far away as Europe and Egypt and went all over the USA to attend many shows, but she especially preferred to travel to be with her beloved family members. She loved the sun, her pool on Polk Road, and the beach. Carol also loved music. Whether it was her beloved Oldies, showtunes from musicals or church hymns, or Motown, she always had music playing. Carol was also the best kind of friend. From her neighborhood "Knitting Group" friends for over 50 years, her dearest friends from grade school, her cousins, siblings and Aunts, to her newest friends at Shannondell (whom she referred to as family), you could count on Carol to be your friend for life. She brought people together, and she had the most beautiful smile, laugh and heart. Throughout her entire life, Carol was truly a faithful and sensible servant, the epitome of the woman described in Proverbs 31. Carol was a good and amazing steward; she was loving, caring, diligent, crafty, resourceful, wise, noble, and honorable in every way. Carol lived out her devout Catholic faith without wavering until the very end, praying her rosary and the prayers of the Saints for those she loved without ceasing twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, hoping salvation would come to each and every person she prayed for. As a mother, like Mary, she comforted her children and protected them in their most vulnerable moments of life. She always pointed to Christ in her own meek and humble-yet powerful-way by simply living out her faith. When her health began to fail her (especially in the last few years) she picked up her cross daily, often in fact referring to her failing health as 'her cross.' She carried that cross every step of the way with the prayer "Thy will be done" as she often said those words are 'the only prayer of a Catholic.' Every time she rose to receive the Eucharist at Mass, you could see her pain. Yet, she rose. She rose time and time again as her devotion to Christ propelled her forward. There was nothing more important to her in her faith than the Eucharist itself. Without a doubt, Carol was greeted by Christ Himself with, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." She fought the good fight, she finished her race, she kept the faith. Carol was a blessing and a true gift from God. She was simply beautiful. She is survived by five children, Carolyn (John) Grant of Waterville, OH, James (Kristina) Pishock of Schnecksville, PA, Dennis (Melissa) Pishock of Cumming, GA, Allison (Richard) Stogdale of Phoenixville, PA and Daniel (Charé) Pishock of Downingtown, PA; two sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Adams of Owosso, MI and Jane (Edward) Morrison of Alexandria, VA; and nine grandchildren, Bryce Grant, Emily Pishock, Zachary Pishock, Alina Pishock, Evelyn Stogdale, Catherine Stogdale, Tristan Pishock, Stella Pishock and Sunday Pishock. Along with her husband of 54 years, James M. Pishock, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine J. Flanagan and brother, Steven Hylinski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 promptly at 10:00 AM from Visitation B.V.M. Church, 196 N. Trooper Road, Eagleville, PA 19403. There will be no calling hours.
