Carol Rehr Obituary

Carol Ann (Pacana) Rehr, 73, wife of the late Philip Bruce Rehr, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her home in Pottstown. Born in Pottstown Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ann (Lewiski) Pacana. Carol was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, and she spent her life's work in the field of hospitality. She always maintained pride in her impeccably clean home and after spending her younger years raising her family, she worked as a waitress at many local restaurants, including the Coventry Diner, Pennsburg Diner, and the Strawberry House. Her family was always the most important thing in her life. She was the rock of her family, a source of strength, love, and guidance. Carol adored spending time with her grandchildren and loved to laugh. She was an extrovert extraordinaire and met new friends wherever life took her. She had a warm smile for everyone. Carol always enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee with a friend and cherished her dinners out with loved ones and friends. Carol maintained a deep commitment to the Catholic Church throughout her life and more recently, enjoyed frequenting the Shrine of Padre Pio often. Carol will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives were touched by her love, kindness, and spirit. Surviving are her children Robert Sutton Jr., husband of Kristin; Kevin Sutton, husband of Heather; Dena Peroni, wife of Matthew; Jared Rehr, husband of Courtney; Jamie Rehr; Adele Gates; and Brandon Rehr; grandchildren Emily, Sophia, Landon, Maria, Victoria, Gianna, Joseph, Josephine, Hazel, Jacob, and Kiera; her aunt Josie; and cousin Joanne Fletcher. She is predeceased by her son Brian Sutton, son Matthew Charles Sutton, and her brother Ronald Pacana. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). Visitation will also be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held privately by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Aloysius Parish School in memory of Carol Rehr at 844 N. Keim Street, Pottstown, PA 19464, to support the primary education of her youngest grandchildren, a cause that brought her great joy and pride.

Yesterday

I have so many fond memories Carol. We were great friends and then for some reason we lost contact with each other. We reunited our friendship on Facebook. We made plans to meet for lunch. We got together and had a wonderful time. We made a promise to meet at least once a month for lunch. Ten days later we lost her. My heart is hurting for her family. Soar high my friend
