Catherine Margerum Obituary
Catherine "Kitty" Dorothy Margerum, 93 years old, of Souderton, PA. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, and loving grandmother who passed away peacefully at home into the arms of her Lord and Savior, on Saturday June 21, 2025. Kitty was born in Willow Grove, PA on December 22, 1931. She was the cherished daughter of Frederick and Olive (Stanton) West. She was a devoted wife to Ralph J. Margerum, Sr. for 72 years, until Ralph's passing in October 2022. As a long-time member of Christ Community Church, you would often find her getting involved in just about everything she could from women's bible studies and retreats to assembling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Kitty was known for her unwavering strength and boundless love for her family, always offering a listening ear, a warm embrace, and unending prayers for family, friends, and anyone in need. She was a woman of remarkable grace and kindness, always putting others' needs before her own. She found so much joy in family dinners, holiday gatherings, birthdays, gardening, and reading her bible. Kitty loved the Lord and would share that love and knowledge every chance she had. She will be most remembered for her sweet smile, her silly nature, baking cookies with her grandchildren especially at Christmas time, and her unrelenting pursuit of living out her faith every day. Kitty is survived by her daughter, Diane L. Palmer & husband Thomas of West Union, SC; her two sons, Ralph James Margerum Jr & wife, Kelly of Palmetto, FL and Eric Marc Margerum & wife, Heather of Hatfield; her six grandchildren – Jennifer, Nicole, Brandon, Tiffany, Brandy and David; and her five great-grandchildren – Nathan, Jeromy, Tyler, Airel and Penny; and her two great-great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Jacqueline "Jak." A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11:00 am, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
