Charlotte E. Bauer

Charlotte E. (German) Bauer, 81, of Slatington, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. Bauer. Born in North Whitehall Township, June 27, 1944, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Wilson O. and Eleanor G. (Weaver) German. A graduate of the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1965, Charlotte held various nursing positions in the Lehigh Valley Health Network for 44 years before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Lehigh Valley Heath Network Retirees Association. Charlotte was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and planting flowers. Survivors: Siblings, Patricia A Burkhardt of Schnecksville, Ellen J. Peters of Whitehall, Elaine R. Schoemaker (Jeffrey) of Orefield, Wilson G. German of Bath, Ruth M. Ruch of Emmaus, Debra K. Allen (Thomas) of Kunkletown; many nieces, nephews, and extended family; Godmother to Michelle and Laura. Service: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Kayli L. Freeman officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 am. – 11:00 am. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Slatedale Cemetery.
