Christopher Paul Loomis

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Paul Loomis, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this life on August 2, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on October 6, 1961, in Abington, PA, Chris lived a life rooted in love, integrity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Frances Loomis of Kunkletown, PA, his children, William Loomis of Kunkletown, PA, Jean Fonte and her wife of Bangor, PA, Mahlon Bailey of Albrightsville, PA, Emmett Fonte, his child, and his fiancé of Murfreesboro, TN, Samantha Kresge, her husband, and children of Nazareth, PA, Sean Loomis, his wife, and children of Effort, PA, his sister Cynthia and her husband of Salem, MA, and his mother Beth Ellen of Slatington, PA. Chris was preceded in death by his beloved family members: brother Gemie and Johnny, sister Debbie, father John William, mother-in-law Juanita, and father-in-law Mahlon. Known for his strength, wisdom, and loud sense of humor, Chris dedicated his life to his family, his hobbies, his work, and the love of his life, Frances. Chris could be found in the yard or in the house building, fixing, or merely sharing a good prank, joke, or laughing with his family. Chris was the epitome of a friend and neighbor, ever willing to help those who asked, and rarely passed up on an opportunity to teach someone a useful skill; he was always there when you needed him. Above all, Chris's legacy is the wisdom and love he gave and the family he built. His guidance, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A celebration of Chris's life will be held in private at the time and date of his family's choosing.
