Dale Venable Obituary
Dale Virginia Venable, 80, formerly of Staunton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at Laureldale Nursing & Rehabilitation in Muhlenberg Township, PA.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis F. Venable Sr.
Born on March 19, 1945, in Staunton, Virginia, Dale was the daughter of the late Rose (Smith) Pettus and her stepfather, John Pettus. A proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Staunton, Dale dedicated 45 years of her life to her passion for hairstyling as the owner of Dale's Hair Salon. Her salon was not just a business; itwas a cornerstone of the community where she built lasting relationships with her clients, who she considered family.
Dale was a woman of deep faith and love for God, which was evident in her dedication to the Kingdom Hall and her family. She cherished her son, Lewis F. Venable Jr., and his wife, Ada Venable, of Sinking Spring, PA.
Dale's heart swelled with pride for her four grandchildren: Alex Laboy, Steven Laboy, Tiffany Figueroa, and Lewis F. Venable III, along with her eight great-grandchildren: Josiah, Elijah, Aleiya, Aathan, Ezequiel, Liam, Neriah, and Ny'lexi.
She is also survived by her sister, Dana Blair Phillips; niece, Marcy Morris and her husband, Steven Morris; nephew, Steven R. Morris; niece, Morgan L. Morris; great- niece, Autumn Rose Morris; and a host of cousins, including Paul (Crum) Smith, Julia and Joyce Bell, Susan Venable, Rita Russell, and Margaret Becks. Dale held a special place in her heart for her close acquaintances, including Valerie Jackson, Vicky Harris, Patty Prater, Kristina Butler-Smith, Joan Taylor, and Joan Williams.
Dale was known for her vibrant spirit and her ability to bring people together. She was an attentive and engaged listener, always ready to offer words of wisdom and
encouragement. Her love for music and dancing brought joy to her life, and she could often be found enjoying a little two-step. A creative soul, Dale loved to decorate and
work on various projects, finding beauty in the little things, especially butterflies.
Her passion for hairstyling shone through in her work, as she made each client feel beautiful and special. Above all, Dale's greatest joy came from her family, particularly
her grandchildren, and Steven R Morris her nephew who was her heartbeat.
Dale Virginia Venable will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose legacy of love, laughter, and beauty will live on in the hearts of all who
knew her.
