Obituary of Daniel Roland Fascione In Loving Memory Daniel Roland Fascione December 17, 1931 - September 16, 2025 U.S. Army Veteran Daniel R. Fascione passed away on September 16, 2025 at the age of 93. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Dell, his children Alexandra (Secky), Christian (Chris), Nina Marie (Nina), his stepchildren Kristin Tulisiak, Brian Fioravanti, his grandchildren Nicholas (Nick), Alexandra Fascione-Hutchins (Allie), Andrew, step grandchildren Maya Tulisiak, Mason Fioravanti, Brynlee Fioravanti. He is preceded in death by his parents Marie Dinard and Dewey Fascione. Dan graduated from Friends Select School, Philadelphia. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Haverford College '53, M.A. in Social Psychology from Columbia University '56. Simply put, Dan awoke every day with a passion for life. He was an avid world traveler, wine and food enthusiast. He had a passion for telling stories, listening to stories and creating his own life story filled with lively conversation, building consensus and stimulating curiosity in others. His impact on those around him was profoundly positive. Dan's career included administrative positions with the School District of Philadelphia; Health and Welfare Councils of Baltimore and Philadelphia. After more than three decades working for the US Government, Dan retired in 2003 from the Department of Health & Human Services where he served as Administrator for Children & Family, Office of Child Support Enforcement. Dan was an avid Philadelphia Phillies' and Eagles' fan. Throughout his life, he cherished his South Philadelphia roots and continued to do his "food" shopping, for self and others, in his beloved family neighborhood. He enjoyed Broadway and Opera performances throughout his life and, most of all, he cherished his time with family and friends. A private gathering for Dan will be held in the spring. Dan would love it if you contributed in his name to the charity of your choice. Daniel, you stand relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to begin, ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
