Daniel Robert Kephart

Daniel "Mushie" Robert Kephart, 82, of Souderton, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Horsham Center for Jewish Life in North Wales, PA. He was the devoted husband of Dixie Lee (Melrath) Kephart, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Hatfield, PA, Dan was the son of the late William Kephart, Sr. and the late Lillian (VanSciver) Kephart. He was a graduate of North Penn High School and proudly served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division. A skilled welder by trade, Dan worked for several companies throughout his career, including the former Trailmobile Trailers and Parts in North Wales, the former Asplundh Tree Expert Company in Chalfont, and Craftweld Fabrication Company, Inc. in Montgomeryville, where he was employed for over 10 years. Dan was a member of the Indian Valley Country Club in Telford and enjoyed spending time on the golf course. A man of many interests, he also loved weightlifting, spinning records as a DJ, and listening to music from the 1940's through the 1960's. Known for his strong work ethic, honesty, and great sense of humor, Dan touched many lives with his warmth and character. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Darlene Kephart of Harleysville, PA, and his brother, William Kephart, Jr. and wife, Jean of Hebron, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son Daniel Kephart, Jr. At the request of Dan, there will be NO services. A private inurnment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
