My heart is heavy having to say goodby to the best friend a man could ever have. Dan was always there when I needed him most. He gave so much of himself, not just to me, but to my family as well. He had a special bond with all of my children and was really able to begin the same kind of relationship with my granddaughter. Everything he did came with so much joy and laughter. He was the kind of guy you wanted to share all of your best and worst with. If you wanted to test out your new jokes, Dan was the guy. If Dan didn't laugh, forget it. However, he wouldn't just critique the joke, he'd embellish it and and make it so much better. He had this same gift with every part of my life, silly or very deep. A goal to be half the man he was is what I yearn for. Dan, I'll miss you so much in every area of my life, and I will love you always!

I would like this world to know what a true gift has been lost to it , by the parting of this fine and congenial faithful friend and man. I want Kay to know that he was well-loved by so many of us. Some people preach the right way to live but Dan was an icon and example of what all men should aspire to. A gentleman. A scholar. A pragmatist and a dreamer. A laborer in the vineyard and a child of the playground. He is an example of the best of who we can be. No mean spirit or idle gossip was this man. He was honest compassionate real. I looked up to him! I love him as a brother and I’m talking as one who knew him since we were 5 or 6. He leaves not a hole in my life, but rather a hole through my heart. I love you man. Or as I called him Dr. Franklin. Thanks from Mr. Adams. God Bless you!

Dan was the very best of the best. He was a great friend who I will miss so much. He was a positive person full of life and someone who was loyal and true. He changed my life and made it better. I have so many wonderful memories of close to 40 years. He could put a smile on my face many times. On top of all that he was a great co-worker and excelled at his job. He often talked of his family and how much he loved them. This world needs more people like him. True gold and he was a difference maker I will always remember you Dan.

Dan was one of the good guys. He was my sister’s soulmate. Uncle Dan could do no wrong in my grandchildren’s eyes. Uncle Danny (from Peach) you are greatly missed and will be remembered in our hearts.

I knew Dan because he was in our LVHN golf league. Dan WAS the master of the flop shot!!! I only played a couple rounds with him, but I was very impressed how he got the ball up so quickly and put it right around the hole. Dan you will be missed.....RIP
