Daniel Poorman Obituary

Daniel C. Poorman, 78, of Horsham, died Wednesday, July 23, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Cathy (Rohland) Poorman, his wife of 55 years. Born December 9, 1946 in Lebanon, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel H. and Anna E. (Speicher) Poorman. Mr. Poorman was employed as a manager with the F. W. Woolworth Company for many years, before retiring from Party City. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and was a fan of Motown and country music. Daniel enjoyed collecting coins, trains, and baseball cards and was a military history aficionado and lifelong Steelers fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Stacy D. Maus (Christopher) of Ambler, and Amy M. Poorman (Timothy Batcho) of Horsham; five grandchildren, Mackenzie S. Maus, Ava G. Maus, Kennedy A. Maus, Lucas D. Batcho, and Logan E. Batcho; and his sister, Judith A. Fulk (late William) of Myerstown, PA. Relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the Wayside Chapel of Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
