David R. Fretz

David Richard Fretz of Emmaus, Pennsylvania died with his family by his side at Lehigh Valley Hospital on July 14, 2025. He was born on August 13, 1944 to Irwin and Margaret Fretz. A life-long resident of the Lehigh Valley, David graduated from Emmaus High School in 1962. From 1971-2006, he was partner and owner at Fretz Realty, and he remained an active member of the Lehigh Valley real estate community until his death. David was a man of faith, and he loved his family. David married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, in 1965. They raised two children. They spent their summers in Ocean City, New Jersey. They fixed up old houses and built new ones. They traveled the world. They spoiled their five grandchildren. David was an avid tennis player and golfer. In sport as in life, David hit the ball true and straight. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his children, Eric Fretz and Tara Roseme, his grandchildren, Hannah, Grace and Zachary Roseme and Atticus and Eleanor Fretz, his brother, Glenn Fretz and his sister, Jean Shelling. A celebration of life will be held on August 2, 2025 at 11:00 am with calling hours from 10-11 am at Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church at 1151 S. Cedar Crest Blvd. Allentown, PA 18103.
