David Hiltz Obituary
David Hiltz, affectionally known as Pop, 73, of Cresco, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. Hewas the husband of the late Colleen Hiltz, who he was married to for 36 years untilher passing in 2009. He is now at peace and reunited with the love of his life, who hewas missing for 16 years.Born December 15, 1951, in Morristown, New Jersey. He was a resident of MonroeCounty since1977 and prior to that of New Jersey.He worked as a Truck Driver for over 40 years providing for his family.His hobbies and interests include spending time with his grandchildren creatingmemories they will cherish for a lifetime. He enjoyed gardening and served as thelandscaper for his daughters. He enjoyed golfing and having a few beers with hisfriends and his son-in-law, Carl. He was always there to lend a hand in whatever youneeded, nothing was too big or small, for family.He is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly (Chris) Monzon, of Holmes, NY, andErica (his “favorite”, Carl) Cramer of Albrightsville, PA. Two grandchildren who werehis pride and joy, Carl “Buddy” Cramer IV and Kayla “KK” Cramer of Albrightsville, PA.His furbabies, Baby, Misty and Mittens Monzon. He is survived by his twin brotherDennis (Coleen) Hiltz, brothers, Robbie (Joni) Hiltz, Kenneth (Grace) Hiltz, and sister,Dorothy (Lou) Cox. His sister-in-law, Linda Luciw, brother-in-law, Edward Cullenywho was a fixture in Dave’s life for over 50 years, providing guidance, laughter andmemories for all, and his many nieces and nephews including those that were therefor him in his final hours including, Rhonda “Sissy” Reilly, Keith, Sara, and ShaynaCulleny, Nikki and Kelly Luciw.He was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur (Robin) Hiltz, Edward (Bonnie) Crozier,and Herbert (Ethel) Crozier, brother-in-law, Dan (Linda) Luciw.Memorial funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 1:30pm with avisitation from 12:00pm until the time of the services at the Bensing Thomas FuneralHome, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Margie Good officiating. Burial of hiscremated remains will follow in the Stroudsburg Cemetery, Stroudsburg, next to thelove of his life, Colleen.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice House,East Stroudsburg.
