Dean Reisch Obituary

Dean C. Reisch of Shillington passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the age of 72. He was born November 1, 1952, in Reading to the late Joan and Kenneth Reisch, Sr. A proud Vietnam War veteran, Dean served in the U.S. Army with both the 1st Calvary Division and the 101st Airborne Division. He spent the latter part of his life working with many others in the recovery community, and celebrated his 35th year sober on July 15, 2024. An avid outdoorsman, Dean enjoyed hunting and bass fishing, with his home displaying numerous trophies and cherished hunting and fishing memorabilia. Dean is survived by his sons Kurt and Denis, granddaughters Alexis and Bailey, great-granddaughter Blakely, his sister Lisa Michalowski, and brothers Ken and David Reisch. He is predeceased by his twin brother Denis. Dean's legacy of service, dedication to recovery, and his love for the outdoors will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held January 11, 2025, at 1:00pm at the United Church of Christ of Robesonia, located at 301 W Penn Ave, Robesonia, PA 19551. Dean was a great person who helped many people overcome life's problems. I had much admiration & respect for him. My condolences to his family. May he rest in eternal peace.

I´ll never forget the times I had with my awesome cousin Dean. We had some great hunting and fishing experiences together that created great loving memories with him. I send my love and prayers of comfort to my cousins.

"A Vietnam Veteran has passed away today." Dean, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran.
