Deborah L. Ditzig

Deborah L. Ditzig, 70, of Washington Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital-Anderson Campus, with her family by her side. Born March 18, 1954, in Stroudsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Thelma (Badowski) Ravert. She was raised in Columbia, NJ. Debbie attended Belvidere High School and graduated from North Warren Regional High School. After high school, she attended and graduated from the dental hygiene program at Northampton Community College. Debbie then spent several years working as a dental hygienist prior to becoming a homemaker and mother. She and her husband, Joseph R. Ditzig, celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on February 14, 2025. During her marriage, Debbie gave birth to two daughters, Krystal and Rebekka, whom she loved dearly. She and her husband were longtime residents of Washington Township and resided in the house that they built together. She was a kind soul who enjoyed a simple, quiet life. A country girl at heart, she loved nature and being outdoors, summertime activities with her family, music, and animals, especially horses and cats. She loved writing and was known for her letters. Her family and friends always enjoyed receiving a letter in the mail from her. She never missed sending a birthday card or Christmas card. Debbie was of the Catholic faith. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Krystal M. Ditzig, of Wind Gap, PA and Rebekka M. Ditzig, of San Diego, CA. She was predeceased by a brother, Connie Ravert and a sister, Nancy Scotch. In keeping with Debbie's wishes, there will be no services at this time.
