Dennis Barilla Obituary

Dennis Barilla, 73, of Hamburg, died Thursday, June 26, 2025 in his home. Born in Lehighton, Carbon County, December 11, 1951, Dennis was the son of the late Michael F. and Vermont A. (Graver) Barilla. He graduated from Lehighton High School, Class of 1969. After high school, Dennis attended Lehigh County Community college from 1970-1972 before transferring to Kutztown College for a year. Dennis co-owned and operated the former Kauffman – Barilla Upholsterers in Topton for many years with his business partner, Bill Kauffman. After selling the business, Dennis took on small upholstery projects for friends and family. After retirement from the upholstery business, Dennis enjoyed bird watching and feeding the squirrels in his backyard, as well as tending his garden. Survivors: Surviving are his sister, Kathy Exner of Coopersburg; nephew, Bian Brian W. Exner and his wife, Ingrid of Goshen, Indiana; great nephew, Zane Exner; great niece,Aurora Exner; step great nephew; and step great nieces, Chloe Cusano and Olivia Cusano. Service: A graveside service will be announced at a later date. The Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown is in charge of arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at .
