Diane S. Schlegel

Diane S. Schlegel, 64, of Bethlehem Township, formerly of Easton, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in St. Luke's Hospital-Anderson Campus. Born August 28, 1961, in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Marlene S. (Moore) Raub. She and her husband, Herbert G. "Herb" Schlegel, Jr., celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on June 5, 2025. Diane graduated from Easton Area High School, Class of 1979 and attended Churchman's Business School. She was employed as a legal assistant for Knafo Law Offices. She also worked for Barbara Rush Renkert Attorney at Law and Dennis P. Ortwein Attorney at Law. Diane loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved the beach and enjoyed skiing, gardening, reading, hiking, fishing, Broadway shows and house tours. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and snowmen. She was a member of Stockertown Rod and Gun Club. In addition to her husband, Herb, she is survived by a son, Justin P. Schlegel and his companion Christie Fox, at home; a daughter, Emily S. Krieger and her husband AJ, of Palmer Township; two grandchildren, Mason and Olivia Krieger; two brothers, Jeffrey J. Raub and his wife Deanna, of Fombell, PA, and Kenneth Curtis, of Walterboro, SC; her father-in-law, Herbert G. Schlegel, Sr., of Cabot, PA; sisters-in-law, Valerie Tappe and husband Tom, of Pittsburgh, and Michele David and her husband Joe, of Allentown; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Barry Callahan, and her mother-in-law, Claire Schlegel. A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday, September 22nd, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Call Monday 10-11am in the funeral home.
