Dolores T. Pfenninger

Dolores T. Pfenninger, 94, of Upper Macungie Township, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in Country Meadows of Allentown. She and her husband, Emil P. Pfenninger, shared 62 years of marriage until his passing in 2018. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Luigi F. and Josephina M. (Allegri) Girardi. Dolores attended Allentown High School. She worked for more than 25 years with Diversified Cleaning Service until retiring in 1996. Dolores was a long-time member of St. Mark's UCC in Allentown. She loved spending time with her family, watching old movies and singing. In her later years, she enjoyed many lively sing-alongs with her friends and the wonderful staff at County Meadows. Most of all, Dolores will be remembered as a loving mother and adoring grandmother. Survivors: Daughters, Marianne P. Swavely and her husband Robert of Upper Macungie Township, Carol A. Frevola and her husband James of Northport, Long Island; son, Steven L. Pfenninger of St. Gallen, Switzerland; 5 grandchildren, Michelle Sklaar (Daniel), Kiel Swavely, Garrett Frevola (Jessica), Courtney Fusaro (Stephen) and Rachael Frevola (fiancé Michael Capobianco); 3 great-grandchildren, Vivienne, Ada and Nathan. Dolores was also preceded in death by siblings Mary Ebner, Rita O'Donnell and Angelo Girardi. Interment services at St. Mark's Cemetery in Allentown will be private at the family's request.
