Earl Moll Obituary

Earl R. Moll, 94, of Fleetwood, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born October 27, 1929 in Moselem, Earl was the son of the late Earl W. and Irene (Meals) Moll. His wife of 48 years, Elsie M. (Berndt) Wanner Moll, passed away on November 22, 2016.

Earl served his country honorably and faithfully as Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Earl was an auto mechanic working for many years at Lee Heffner Ford, Temple. He also worked for 15 years at Brinker's Garage, Fleetwood. He was a member of St. Peter's UCC Church, Molltown and a graduate of New Holland High School, where he was a star athlete and excelled in all sports.

Earl truly enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and bird houses in addition to many other items. He enjoyed feeding birds, playing softball for Focht's Moselem Hotel, bowling with family and friends, his fishing trips to Canada and Maryland and playing cards. He also enjoyed working with his plants in his greenhouse, putting together jigsaw puzzles, races at the Reading Fairgrounds, and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Earl is survived by his two step-sons, Wayne H. Wanner, husband of Linda J. (Mengel) Wanner, Kutztown, and Dennis G. Wanner, husband of Donna M. (Nester) Wanner, Fleetwood, his grandchildren, Jeffrey Wanner, husband of Theresa (Calvaresi) Wanner, Blandon, Michael Wanner, husband of Faith (Himmelreich) Wanner, Lyons, Brian Wanner, husband of Tina (Manmiller) Wanner, Richmond Township, Tina (Wanner) Rathje, wife of Michael Rathje, South Lake Tahoe, CA, and Sherry (Wanner) Brinker, wife of Scott Brinker, Richmond Township. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband, Patrick, Heather and her husband, Seth, Bradley and his wife, Amanda, Matthew, Zachary, Kaili and her fiancé, Noah, Nathan, Olivia, Colt and Aspen, his great-great-grandchildren, Brayden, Arianna, Brielle, Chase and Graham, his siblings, Lester Moll, husband of Mary Moll, Wyomissing, Darlene Roth, wife of B. Robin Roth, Wyomissing, and  Roland Moll, husband of Denise Moll, Wyomissing, and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Earl will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Maidencreek Cemetery, Blandon.

Viewings for Earl will be held on Tuesday evening, September 3, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home, and again on Wednesday morning, September 4, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's UCC Church, 219 Maidencreek Rd, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
