Edward Engler Obituary

Edward T. Engler, 72, of Walnutport, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Born December 5, 1952, in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Annaman Engler and the late Anna (Mondshein) Engler. Edward was a 1970 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School and was employed as a Machine Tool Repairman for DMS Industrial in Wernersville, PA, for the past five years. Prior to that, he worked in the same capacity for Action Machinery in Bethlehem, PA, for over 30 years. Edward was a member of the Palmerton Rod & Gun Club for many years; he enjoyed shooting and collecting guns of all kinds. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Edward was always in demand and could be counted on by his family for his fix-it skills. There was nothing he wouldn't tackle, and he always found a way to fix the problem. Edward is survived by his loving partner, Donna L. Dotter, his children, Tammy S. Finley (Christopher), Christopher E. Engler (Jessica), and Kevin T. Engler (Melissa); his stepson, Scott Dotter (Christina); his siblings, Kathy Schmidt, Timothy Engler, Cynthia Tarafas, Carol Marsh, and Pamela Taylor; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067, has been entrusted with his care and arrangements. Contributions: May be made in his memory to the Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
