Edward Rafael Gomez

Edward Rafael Gomez, 50, of Allentown, passed away unexpectedly at home om September 16, 2025. He and his wife, Berenice (Tavarez) Gomez, celebrated 17 years of marriage on August 29. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of Ana E. Garcia and the late Angel Rafael Gomez. Edward was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena in Allentown and worked as a truck driver for many years. Survivors: Wife; Mother; Sons, Dominic and Rafael Gomez; Daughters, Annie, Brittany and Emily Gomez; and Sisters, Damaris Garcia and Jacqueline Hernandez. Services: A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown. A second viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown.
