Edward Tantsits Obituary

Edward J. Tantsits, 89 years of Allentown, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Luther Crest in Allentown. He was the husband of Priscilla V. (Hunsicker) Tantsits for 64 years this past April. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late Alois and Elizabeth (Strasser) Tantsits. He was a program analyst for the former Bethlehem Steel for 28 years until retiring in 1996 and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Orefield. Edward honorably served in the United States Army. He was in the Duffers Golf League for many years and was active in Boy Scout Troop #72. Survivors: wife, Priscilla, son Stanley Tantsits (Susan) of Fogelsville, grandchildren, Linda Gery (Mitch) of Alburtis and Peter Tantsits of Berlin, Germany; great grandchildren, Dr. Taden Gery and Karson Gery. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank. Private services. Internment, Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, in care of the Funeral Home, PO Box 52, Fogelsville, 18051.

I was saddened to hear of Uncle Ed´s passing. Though I didn´t know him as well as I would have liked, I´ll always appreciate the role he and my grandfather played in sparking my passion for family history. Sending love from my family to yours.
